poem - misshapen moon

misshapen moon
me still an odd crescent
on a land bitter tonight

let me hide in the shade

Yesterday, to my drowsy eyes, moon looked shabby and out of that usual sweet dolly shape. It was cloudy and gave moon a place to hide his face. Occasionally, we too search for cloud.
